1040.01 AUXILIARY PUMPING SYSTEMS.
   (a)   Any person who attaches auxiliary pumping equipment to the Water Distribution System, either directly or indirectly, shall first obtain a permit for the attachment of such equipment from the Service Director.
   (b)   Such permit shall be obtained upon application to the Service Director on forms prescribed by him, which application shall then be submitted by the Director to Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting of Council. Upon approval by Council the permit shall be issued by the Director within five days.
   (c)   The application for the auxiliary pump permit, required by this section, shall state that the applicant agrees to be subject to the continuing regulation of Council and its lawful delegates, who may from time to time establish and adopt, by resolution of Council, rules and regulations for the use of auxiliary pumping equipment, a copy of which shall be sent by the Director by ordinary, certified or registered mail, to each permit holder. The permit, as issued, shall state that it is subject to revocation for failure to comply with any of such rules and regulations. (Adopting Ordinance)
   (d)   Service connections to the water distribution system which are not connected in any way to an auxiliary pump but rather depend solely on the water pressure and volume as provided by the City of Cleveland are exempted from the requirements of this section.
