836.13 SALT WATER AND OIL FIELD WASTE; STORAGE PITS; DISPOSAL.
   All pits used for the temporary storage of salt water and oil field waste shall be lined to be liquid-tight and constructed and maintained so as to prevent the escape of salt water and oil field waste. The level of salt and oil field waste in excavated pits shall, at no time, be permitted to rise above the lowest point of the ground surface level. Salt water and oil field waste shall be removed by tanker and transported to a proper disposal area periodically, at intervals not to exceed sixty days. Salt water and oil field waste shall not be disposed of by draining the same into an open field, open ditch, storm sewer or running stream.
