836.07 LIMITATIONS ON LOCATION.
   No person shall act or use any drilling rig or storage tank, or build any related structure, nearer than 500 feet from any inhabited private dwelling house, without first obtaining written consent from the private property owner; or nearer than 500 feet from any public building which may be used as a place of resort, assembly, education, entertainment, lodging, trade, manufacture, repair, storage, traffic or occupancy by the public, without first obtaining, in writing, the consent of all the owners of public buildings within that radius as measured from the center of the proposed well. No person shall act or use any drilling rig or storage tank nearer than 500 feet from any private water supply, or nearer than 500 feet from any other gas or oil well. However, where a unique or unusual condition exists, and undue hardship will result by compliance with these requirements, Council may, at its discretion, amend the distance requirements.
