810.01 MISREPRESENTATION.
   (a)   No person shall, in connection with any merchandise, securities, service, employment, real estate or any other thing of value, offered by him for use, purchase, lease, rental or sale, directly or indirectly make, publish, disseminate, circulate or place before the public or any member thereof any oral or written statement, announcement, advertisement, assertion, representation, promise, affirmation or averment which is untrue or fraudulent, in whole or in part, when he either knows or, in the exercise of reasonable diligence, should have known of such falsity.
   (b)   No person shall knowingly cooperate in, cause or allow the commission of any act constituting a violation of subsection (a) hereof.
   (c)   No person, knowing of an act committed by his employee or agent or by any independent contractor hired by him, shall fail to take all reasonable measures to correct any resulting false or misleading impression and to remedy any damage resulting from a transaction induced in whole or in part by such violation.
