(a) There is hereby established the position of Cable Television Community Programming Coordinator.
(b) The duties of the Coordinator include, but are not limited to, arranging the programming content of the cable television franchisee’s community programming access channel(s). Such arrangements shall be made in tandem with the Olmsted Falls City School District and the Township of Olmsted, through, at such time as either appointments, their counterpart to this position and any other appropriate entity. There shall be a conscientious attempt to achieve an optimum balance and timeliness of programming content among activities of the Administration, issues before Council, recreation and senior citizen programs and clubs and organizations in the community. Initially, a new program, approximately thirty minutes in duration, shall be arranged each month throughout the year, consisting of two or three segments, followed by a listing of upcoming events, activities and announcements in the community.
(c) The Coordinator shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and a majority of Council and under the technical supervision of the cable television franchisee and the general supervision of the Olmsted Falls Cable Television Advisory Board, as provided for by Section 29 of Ordinance 77-79, if constituted; otherwise, under the supervision of the Community Development Committee of Council.
(d) There shall be no compensation for the Coordinator.
