255.01 APPLICATION OF CHAPTER; PART-TIME EMPLOYEE DEFINED.
   This chapter shall be applicable to part-time employees. “Part-time employee” means an employee who works less than thirty hours per week, or if such employee works thirty hours or more per week, he or she does so less than thirty separate weeks in a twelve-month period. “Part- time employee” also means an employee who has not previously taken and passed a competitive civil service examination of the type used to fill full-time positions within the classified service of the City.
