(a) Each employee of the Service Department, including the Assistant Service Supervisor, shall be issued a full uniform, as required by Departmental rules and regulations, upon initial appointment to the Department, if applicable, or otherwise shall be allowed an allowance of two hundred twenty dollars ($220.00), payable January 15 of the calendar year, as well as a rental service.

(b) Payment of the clothing allowance provided for herein for any calendar year shall only be made by the City for legitimate clothing supply bills submitted to the Finance Director not later than December 10 of the particular calendar year.
