(a) There is hereby created the position of Assistant Supervisor in the Streets Department.
(b) The Assistant Supervisor shall be subject to the civil service provisions of the City Charter, and the appointment to such position shall be made by the Mayor from those persons eligible for such position in accordance with the civil service rules and regulations.

(c) The duties, authority and responsibilities of the Assistant Supervisor shall be in accordance with the Charter, the ordinances of the City and the laws of the State. The salary of the Assistant Supervisor shall be as Council from time to time determines.
