(a) There is hereby established the position of Deputy Income Tax Administrator for the City, in such numbers as Council shall determine.
(b) It shall be the duty of the Deputy Income Tax Administrator(s) to assist the Income Tax Administrator in the administration and enforcement of the Municipal Income Tax as provided in the ordinances of the City and in all other relevant laws, rules and regulations, including Constitutional provisions. The Deputy Tax Administrator(s) shall be hired by the Finance Director.
(c) Further duties of this position are to assist the Finance Director and/or the Tax Administrator in the performance of his or her duties as set forth in Chapters 236 and 880 of these Codified Ordinances and in any other ordinance and/or resolution of the City. If the Finance Director is incapacitated, the Mayor may require the Deputy to act in substitution for the Finance Director for a temporary period of time. In addition, there may be other duties assigned by the Finance Director and/or the Mayor in support of the administration and/or Council, including, but not limited to, duties and responsibilities identified by Chapter 234 of this Administration Code and Article VIII of the City Charter.
(d) The Deputy Tax Administrator(s) shall be paid at a rate determined from time to time by Council for the performance of their duties.
