(A) Should the Mayor, city official or officer, City Council member, or any and all person or persons that are employees of the city, knowingly and wilfully violate any of the provisions of their job duties, or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of any ordinance of the city, he, she, or they shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
(B) Except in cases where a different punishment is prescribed by any ordinance of the city, any person convicted of a misdemeanor under chapter shall be punished by a fine of not less than $50 and not to exceed $500, or by imprisonment not to exceed 12 months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
