§ 15.04.170 ADOPTION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE.
   (A)   Adoption of the National Electrical Code.
      (1)   The National Electrical Code as published and in effect on this date of enactment is hereby adopted and incorporated as part of this code of ordinances as fully as if set out at length herein.
      (2)   A copy of the said National Electrical Code dated 1996, as published by The National Fire Protection Association, is attached hereto, incorporated herein by reference and is hereby made a part of the permanent record of the city.
      (3)   A copy of the said National Electrical Code, together with a copy of all other regulations of the city is on file in the office of the Building Inspector and Office of the Utilities Clerk and that the Inspector and Clerk shall at all times keep a copy of said Code for reference.
   (B)   Designated enforcement officer. The City Building Inspector be designated as the local enforcement agent.
   (C)   Extended application. The application of the National Electrical Code is hereby extended to all property within the limits of the city and all property outside the limits of the city to which electricity is distributed or potentially distributed by the city.
   (D)   Permits and fees. The fees for permits and inspectors shall be the responsibility of the customer.
   (E)   Penalty. Any person, firm, or corporation who violates any of the provisions of this section or any order, decision, or rule of the Electrical Inspector made under the authority of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than $25 and not more than $100 for each offense together with the costs of prosecution. Each day constitutes a separate offense.
   (F)   Effective dates. This section shall take effect and be in full force when passed, published, and recorded according to law.
