§ 13.04.040 EXTENSION UTILITY LINES.
The following provisions will apply relating to the extension of present utility lines and furnishing utilities to prospective customers.
   (A)   Electric.
      (1)   For single-family residences and Type I (double-wide) permanently installed manufactured homes, the city will furnish and install one pole and sufficient triplex line for one pole (not to exceed 100 feet). The cost of any additional installation will be borne by the customer. The meter base will be furnished by the customer, but the city will furnish the meter.
      (2)   Electric for Type II or III (single-wide mobile homes or trailers) manufactured homes: the customer will furnish and set his or her own pole; furnish and install his or her own breaker box, meter box, meter base; and run the wire to the pole before the city installs the service. If an extra pole or more than 100 feet of wire is required, the customer will be required to pay a deposit of $200 which will be refunded after three years of service to the unit.
      (3)   Commercial buildings, subdivisions, and multi-family dwellings will be serviced on an individual basis based on the needs of the units and the capability of the city. In all cases, each individual dwelling unit, individual business unit, or manufactured home will be individually metered.
   (B)   Water. The city will commence at a point on an existing water main, make a tap, and furnish and install water line to the property boundary or 100 feet, whichever is less. If it is necessary to cross roads or go through rock, the extra expense will be borne by the customer. The city will furnish and set the meter, tile and lid at or near the property boundary. The customer is responsible for the line from the meter to the building. The fee for the water tap will be $300 inside the city limits and $500 outside the city limits.
   (C)   Gas. The city will commence at a point on the existing main gas line, make a tap, and furnish and install gas line to the property boundary or 100 feet, whichever is less. If it is necessary to cross roads or go through rock, the extra expense will be borne by the customer. The customer is responsible for the gas line from the gas meter to the building. The city will furnish the gas meter and regulator. The fee for the gas tap is $300.
   (D)   Sewer. The city will commence at a point on the existing sewer main line, make a tap, and furnish and install sewer line to the property boundary or 100 feet, whichever is less. If it is necessary to cross roads or go through rock, the extra expense will be borne by the customer. The customer is responsible for the remainder of the sewer line to the building. The sewer tap fee will be $300.
   (E)   Additional service.
      (1)   If it is necessary for the city to provide additional line or service to the customer, then an estimated bill will be presented to the customer and said amount must be deposited with the City Clerk before the service is provided. If the charge is found to be excessive when the work is completed, then a refund will be made by the city to the customer. If the charge is insufficient, the customer will be presented with an additional bill.
      (2)   All utilities must be installed in accordance previously adopted codes and state regulations and will be subject to inspection at any time.
