(A) Designated. At the intersections known as Main Street and Scott Street and junctioning with School Street and Main Street, being known as dangerous intersections, the traffic shall be regulated by electrically timed stop and go lights; the lights being generally known as red lights. The lights shall be timed and regulated in such manner so as to ensure the maximum safety and convenience of the traveling public and pedestrian alike. The lights shall be of the colors of red for stopping, yellow for caution and green for starting. All traffic shall observe the caution light, and shall stop on red, and go on green, and exercise caution at all times.
(B) Penalty. It is unlawful for anyone to fail to comply with the traffic signals as set out in this section, and any person, firm, or corporation who violates any of the terms of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not less than $20 and not more than $100 for each offense.
