(A) Designated. In cooperation with the following, the recommendations of the Commonwealth Traffic Division, the following speed zones are now established.
(1) Generally.

(B) Excessive speeds. It is unlawful for anyone to travel at speeds in excess of the speeds as designated in this section, and any person, firm, or corporation who fails to comply with the terms of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined in accordance with the schedule of fines established by KRS 189.394.
