For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
COMMERCIAL PURPOSE. Based on same standards of the Internal Revenue Service definitions and guidelines which distinguishes between business and hobby. This does not relate to the stock yard, operation under license of the city, and where livestock is being temporarily kept for sale.
FARMLAND or ACREAGE. Any tract of land suitable for grazing or keeping livestock and containing not less than five acres in one boundary upon which or within 500 feet of which the owner or owners of livestock subject to this chapter resides in his, her, or their principle residence.
LIVESTOCK. Includes poultry, ratites. canines. cattle, horses, sheep, goats, and swine.
