(A) The City Council shall consist of six members.
(B) (1) Members of Council elected subsequent to the present term shall be compensated in the amount of $100 per month;
(2) Mayors elected subsequent to the present term shall be compensated the amount of $500 per month;
(3) (a) The aforesaid rates of compensation, pursuant to KRS 83A.075, and any other applicable law of the commonwealth, shall be adjusted so as to equate to the purchasing power of the dollar.
(b) The rates of compensation for the presently elected Council and Mayor shall also be adjusted pursuant to the aforesaid statutes and any other applicable law, with the calculated increases and/or decreases computed from the date of enactment of the ordinance or ordinances or other act establishing their present rate of compensation; and
(4) This division (B) shall take effect and be in full force from and after is passage according to law.
