Any person notified in writing by the county of violating any provisions of this chapter shall be charged with a Class A misdemeanor and shall, upon citation to court and subsequent conviction, be punished by a fine not to exceed $500 or be imprisoned for a period not to exceed 12 months, or both so fined and imprisoned. Each day a violation continues after notification by the county shall constitute a separate offense.
