§ 153.17 COMPATIBILITY AND SEVERABILITY.
   (A)   Should any subchapter, section, division, clause or provision of this chapter be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, the decision shall not affect the validity of this chapter as a whole or any part thereof other than the part declared to be unconstitutional or invalid, each subchapter, section, clause and provision being declared severable.
   (B)   If any provisions of this chapter and any other provisions of law impose overlapping or contradictory regulations, or contain any restrictions covering any of the same subject matter, that provision which is more restrictive or imposes higher standards or requirements shall govern.
