For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY, BUSINESS OCCUPANCY, EDUCATIONAL OCCUPANCY, INDUSTRIAL OCCUPANCY, RESIDENTIAL, STORAGE, UTILITY AND MISCELLANEOUS OCCUPANCY. The same meanings as defined in the current edition of the State Building Code, KRS Chapter 198B.
COMPLETE INDEPENDENT LIVING FACILITY. A facility for one or more persons including permanent provisions for living, sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation.
FIRE CHIEF. The Chief of the Fire Department of a fire protection district organized under KRS Chapter 75.
FIRE HAZARD. Any thing or act which increases or will cause an increase of the hazard or menace of fire to a greater degree than customarily recognized by persons in the public extinguishing fire, or which will obstruct, delay, hinder or interfere with the operation of the Fire Department or the egress of occupants in the event of fire.
FIRE LANE. The passageway developed to allow the passage of fire apparatus through congested areas (both built-up and wild land).
MULTI-FAMILY DWELLING. Buildings containing more than two complete independent living facilities.
PLANNING AND ZONING ADMINISTRATOR. The Enforcement Officer designated by the County Judge-Executive.
SHALL. Must conform.
SHOULD. To attempt within reason to accomplish.
SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING. A building containing one unit providing a complete independent living facility and not connected to any other building or unity.
TWO-FAMILY DWELLING. A building containing two complete independent living facilities.
