§ 90.04 LICENSING OF KENNELS AND PET SHOPS.
   (A)   Licensing.
      (1)   Each location must be inspected and meet the requirements of this subchapter prior to being issued a license. Each location must be licensed separately. Commercial or non-commercial kennels shall pay a license fee per the fines and fees schedule of the County Animal Control:
         (a)   For any kennel having eight animals or less on its premises;
         (b)   For any kennel having an excess of eight animals on its premises;
         (c)   For any pet shop, animal shelter, circus, or theatrical exhibit; and
         (d)   For any humane society.
      (2)   No license shall be required for any veterinary hospital, municipal animal control facility, or zoological garden operated by a governmental agency.
   (B)   License revocation. All licenses required under this section shall be renewed annually. The ACO may revoke any license issued hereunder. Grounds for such revocation include, but are not limited to, conviction pursuant to any violation of this subchapter or any related state or federal law. Failure to adhere to the standards set forth in this subchapter and failure to permit the ACO to inspect any establishment or business regulated by this subchapter during reasonable hours, shall be grounds for revocation of any said license. License revocations shall be in writing and shall state the grounds therefore.
