17.09.020: DEFINITIONS:
As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:
AIRPORT: An area of land or water that is used or intended to be used for the landing and taking off of aircraft including its buildings and facilities, if any.
AIRPORT HAZARD: Any structure, object of natural growth or use of land which obstructs the airspace required for the flight of aircraft in landing or taking off at an airport or is otherwise hazardous to such landing or taking off of aircraft.
AIRPORT HAZARD AREA: Any area of land or water upon which an airport hazard might be established if not prevented as provided in this chapter.
PERSON: Any individual, firm, partnership, corporation, company, association, or joint stock association, and includes any trustee, receiver, assignee, or other similar representative thereof.
STRUCTURE: Any object constructed or installed by man, including, but without limitation, buildings, towers, smokestacks, and overhead transmission lines.
TREE: Any object of natural growth. (Ord. 1953, 2010)
