16.24.120: SANITARY SEWERS; INSTALLMENT SPECIFICATIONS:
The subdivider shall install sanitary sewers whenever a sanitary sewer is reasonably accessible, as determined by the city council. Sanitary sewers shall be installed in accordance with standards for water pollution control facilities of the Oklahoma state department of health.
Whenever a sanitary sewer is not reasonably accessible, private disposal facilities may be installed as a substitute therefor, provided that such installation is made in accordance with the regulations governing water supply and sewerage systems in Okmulgee County, adopted by the Okmulgee County board of health on January 27, 1964. When a subdivision contains forty (40) acres or more, the city council may require the subdivider to install sanitary sewers and a disposal plant adequate to serve all of the lots in the subdivision.
