15.04.010: GENERAL CONTRACTOR REQUIRED TO OBTAIN BUILDING PERMIT:
   A.   It is unlawful for any person, firm, association or corporation to engage in, exercise or pursue any business, profession, trade, or occupation as a general contractor for the construction of buildings within the city limits of the city of Okmulgee, and thereafter to hire or contract with plumbers, electricians, mechanical tradesmen or similar regulated trades for work within the city of Okmulgee, without first securing a copy of their occupational licenses issued by the state of Oklahoma, and a copy of the corresponding registration of each license with the city of Okmulgee.
   B.   It is unlawful for any person, firm, association or corporation to engage in, exercise or pursue any business, profession, trade, or occupation as a general contractor for the construction of buildings within the city limits of the city of Okmulgee to fail to secure and pay for any building permit required under this title for each building on which construction is performed.
   C.   Each day on which construction work is performed without a permit and each trade for which a permit is required but not obtained shall be a separate offense. (Ord. 1905 § 1, 2007)
