The commission may require additional safeguards to prevent dust, noise, odor and vibration as the result of oil and gas operations within one-half (1/2) mile of any school or hospital; may ban flaring; and may require that all the equipment, facilities and operations, after drilling is complete, be enclosed and conducted underground in specified buried enclosures. Such safeguards shall be designed and imposed on due consideration of the special circumstances and increased sensitivity of the occupants of these institutions. (Ord. 1939 § 4, 2009)
