Before work is started, the contractor or other person desiring a permit shall pay to the city clerk a permit and inspection fee as follows: for all driveway construction, the fee shall be six dollars ($6.00) for a driveway of two hundred fifty (250) square feet or less; for a driveway of more than two hundred fifty (250) square feet, the fee shall be six dollars ($6.00) plus four cents ($0.04) for each square foot over two hundred fifty (250).
