In opening or making a cut in the surface of any street, alley or sidewalk, the applicant shall saw through the permanent cap in such manner that the cap can be removed without disturbing or causing damage in any manner to the surrounding area. Prior to closing in the cut, approval of the city inspector must be obtained. (Ord. 1896 § 2, 2007)
