The owner of any wrecked or inoperable motor vehicle or inoperable trailer which has come into the possession of the city or private wrecker or towing service(s) under the provisions of this chapter may redeem such vehicle or trailer after its removal, but prior to its sale or disposition, upon presentation of proper evidence of ownership and upon payment in full to the city and/or private wrecker or towing service(s) of all charges incurred regarding removal, transportation, towing, storage, notifications, advertising and expenses of the sale, if any. This right of redemption shall expressly terminate upon the sale or disposition of the wrecked or inoperable motor vehicle or inoperable trailer by the city. (Ord. 1735 § 1, 1998)
