9.04.030: RESCUING OR ASSISTING PRISONERS TO ESCAPE:
It is unlawful for any person in any illegal manner to set at liberty, rescue or attempt to set at liberty or rescue, any prisoner or prisoners, from any officer or employee of the city having legal custody of the same or from the city jail or other place of confinement by the city, or to assist such prisoner in any manner to escape from such prison or custody. (Prior code § 423)
