5.46.010: CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY:
No building or structure shall be commercially/Industrially used or occupied, and no change in the existing occupancy classification of a building or structure or portion thereof shall be made until the building official has issued a certificate of occupancy therefore as provided herein. Occupying a structure is defined as any person or object not participating in the construction process maintaining a presence on the property for a period of more than eight hours per day. Issuance of a certificate of occupancy shall not be construed as an approval of a violation of the provisions of this code or of other ordinances of the City of Okmulgee. Certificates presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of this code or other ordinances of the City of Okmulgee shall not be valid. The fee to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy shall be $100.00. (Ord. 2174 § 1, 2022)
