5-2-1: FIRE DEPARTMENT AND CHIEF:
   A.   Department Created; Chief And Officers: There shall be a fire department, the size of which is to be limited to not less than twelve (12) nor more than twenty five (25) members. The chief shall be the head of the fire department. The chief of the fire department shall be an officer of the city, and shall have supervision and control of the fire department. There shall be such additional officers of the fire department as authorized by the city either by ordinance or resolution. (Ord. 2012-03, 6-11-2012)
   B.   Department Duties Generally: It is the duty of the fire department, among other duties: to extinguish fires; to rescue persons endangered by fire; to resuscitate, and to administer first aid to persons injured in or about burning structures, or elsewhere, in case of an emergency; enforce all ordinances relating to fires, fire prevention, and safety of persons from fire and explosions in theaters, stores, and other public buildings.
