A person who violates a provision of the code adopted in this chapter or fails to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof, or who erects, constructs, alters, repairs or removes, or has erected, constructed, altered, repaired, or removed, a building or structure in violation of a detailed statement or plan submitted and approved thereunder or of a permit or certificate issued thereunder, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined any sum as provided in section 1-4-1 of the city code, including costs. Each day upon which a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense. (2015 Code § 5-103)
