§ 50.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   COMBINED SEWER. A sewer receiving both surface water run-off and sewage.
   COUNTY. Areas which are under the jurisdiction of the county’s Health Officer and situated outside the corporate limits of any city or town.
   HEALTH OFFICER. The county’s Health Officer or his or her authorized officers.
   PERSON. An individual, firm or corporation.
   PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. Any sewage disposal system not constructed, installed, maintained, operated and owned by a municipality or a taxing district established for that purpose.
   PUBLIC SEWER. Any sewer constructed, installed, maintained, operated and owned by a municipality or a taxing district established for that purpose. A county sewer installed for the purpose of carrying surface water run-off and subsoil drainage shall not be considered a PUBLIC SEWER under this definition.
   SANITARY SEWER. A sewer which carries sewage and to which stormwater, surface waters and groundwater are not intentionally admitted.
   SEWAGE. Any combination of human excreta and wastewater from water closets, laundries, sinks, bathing facilities and other objectionable wastewater.
   SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. Any arrangement of devices and structures used for receiving, treating and disposing of sewage.
   SEWER. A pipe or conduit for carrying sewage.
