(A) Nothing in this chapter is intended to supersede or delimit any statutory power of the County Sheriff.
(B) Nothing in this section is intended to supersede or delimit the powers granted under I.C. 10-14-3-17 to any political subdivision to adopt and implement emergency plans and promulgate and enforce emergency management rules and regulations in the advent of an actual emergency affecting the political subdivision. However, pursuant to I.C. 10-14-3-22, the regulations and procedures as promulgated by the political subdivision may not be inconsistent with the county’s Emergency Management Program and Emergency Plan established in accordance with this chapter.
