§ 90.61 HOURS OF OPERATION AND PICK UP POLICY.
   (A)   Animal shelter hours will be posted at the animal shelter and also by calling the animal shelter phone number, which is 438-9220.
   (B)   The animal control officer is not to pick up people’s pets. The animal shelter is for stray animals only.
   (C)   When a stray is to be picked up, the caller should have the dog fastened or tied up if at all possible, so that the animal control officer does not (and should not) have to make several trips to pick up the animal.
   (D)   A dispute between neighbors over a dog has to be settled with a county or city police officer before the animal control officer can pick up the animal.
   (E)   (1)   The animal control officer will pick up the dogs when called as following:
         (a)   Summer hours: From 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and
         (b)   Winter hours: From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (because of darkness).
      (2)   Only vicious dogs will be picked up other hours and there must be a Sheriff Deputy or city police officer present for picking up vicious dogs.
