10-3-4: WELL AND WATER SYSTEM INSPECTIONS:
   A.   Right of Entry: The Health Officer shall have the right to enter any property at any reasonable time to inspect a facility or property to which a permit has been issued for the purpose of determining whether state and county codes are being complied with.
   B.   No new water well intended for human consumption shall be placed in operation until a water sample has been obtained indicating the water is safe to drink. Licensed well drillers shall submit the results of their water sample to the Local Health Department.
   C.   Revocation or Suspension of Permit: Upon inspection, if it is found that the permit holder is in violation of any provision of these regulations, the Health Officer shall be empowered to revoke or suspend the permit. The Health Officer may notify the owner or installer to make such changes as appropriate in the work in order to correct the violation. If such changes are not made within a reasonable time the Health Officer may revoke the permit and all installation work shall be immediately suspended. A "Stop Work Order Posting" shall be placed at the work site. It shall be unlawful to continue work or use such water supply while a "Stop Work Order" is in affect.
   D.   Lifting Stop Work Order: Work may resume and use of the water may resume only after the Health Officer determines the condition has been resolved and code requirements are met. The owner shall be notified that the Stop Work Order has been lifted by the Health Officer. (Ord., 11-16-1999; amd. Ord. 2014-1104, 11-18-2014)
