A. No person shall operate or drive, nor shall any owner cause or knowingly permit a person to operate or drive any vehicle having an axle load in excess of sixteen thousand (16,000) pounds and/or having a gross weight in excess of seventy three thousand two hundred eighty (73,280) pounds on bituminous surface roads, except when the above limits will be reduced in accordance with paragraph B of this section.
B. Whenever by reason of deterioration, rain, snow, or other climatic conditions, roads may be damaged or destroyed due to the weight limits in paragraph A of this section, the superintendent of highways may restrict the gross weight of vehicles including implements of husbandry 1 operating on said roads to the following limitations:

Note:
1. And axle load 11,000 lbs.
The above restrictions of this paragraph apply for a total of not to exceed ninety (90) days in any one calendar year. (Ord., 6-16-1992)
