For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
TOW FIRM. A sole proprietor, partnership, company, corporation or limited liability company operating a towing business.
TOW TRUCK. A motor vehicle that has been altered or designed and equipped for and exclusively used in the business of towing vehicles by means of a crane, tow bar, towline or dolly, or otherwise exclusively used to render assistance to other vehicles.
TOWING SERVICE. The provision of tow truck services in response to a dispatch or request from the Police Department or any other city department.
