(A) The rate of the Simplified Municipal Tele- communications Tax imposed under the provisions of §§ 5-25 and 5-30 of the Simplified Municipal Telecommunications Tax Act (ILCS Ch. 35, Act 636, §§ 5-25-and 5-30) is hereby changed to 5%.
(B) The Simplified Municipal Tele- communications Tax Act was for a period of ten years, beginning on and after 1-1-2006. Remove the phrase “for a period of ten years”.
