An approved preliminary site plan shall become null and void if the final site plan is not submitted to the Town Engineer within six months from the date of approval of the preliminary plan. An approved final site plan shall be valid for a period of five years from the date of approval thereof. A site plan shall be deemed final once it has been reviewed and approved by the Town Engineer if the only requirement remaining to be satisfied in order to obtain a building permit is the posting of any bonds and escrows. Construction or development may begin upon approval by the Town Engineer of the final site plan upon payment of site plan fees and acquisition of construction permits. The Town Engineer may grant a single one-time, six-month extension, upon written request of the applicant, made at least 30 days before the expiration of the approved site plan.
