There is hereby imposed and levied upon every transient obtaining or occupying lodging within the town, in addition to all other taxes and fees of every kind now imposed by law, a tax at a given rate, set by the Town Council, on the amount charged for such lodging. The tax shall be collected from transients in the manner and at the time provided in this subchapter.
