305.055 PARKING OF LARGE TRUCKS AND TRAILERS.
   (a)    Definitions. For purposes of this section, the following definitions shall apply:
      (1)    "Truck" means every motor vehicle designed and used to carry semi-trailers.
      (2)    "Semi-trailer" means any vehicle of the trailer type that does not have motive power. Further, the vehicle is so designed or used with another separate motor vehicle that in operation a part of its own weight or that of its load, rests upon and is carried by the other vehicle furnishing the motive power for propelling itself and the vehicle referred to in this subsection.
      (3)   "Trailer" means any wheeled vehicle designed to be drawn by a motor vehicle and which is generally and commonly used to carry and transport personal effects, furniture, boats, vehicles, equipment, trash and debris, etc. Utility trailers, cargo trailers, gooseneck trailers, and dump trailers are all included in the above definition and subject to the regulations of this Section.
   (b)   No person shall park a truck or semi-trailer upon the municipal parking lot at the corner of Groveport Road and Chillicothe Street. This section shall not apply to trucks and semi-trailers which are parked for delivery purposes or to patronize surrounding businesses provided they are not parked more than fifteen minutes.
   (c)   No person shall park any unattached trailer at any time on a public street.
   (d)    No person shall park an attached trailer on any public street unless one or more of the following applies:
      (1)    The trailer is actively and continuously being loaded or unloaded;
      (2)   The trailer is parked because its presence is related to, and assisting with, the active performance of construction or a service to, or on, property located near where the trailer is parked. The trailer is only permitted on the street during the hours that the service is actively being performed.
   (e)   No person shall park a trailer overnight on a public street or in a public parking area within the City.
   (f)    The Safety Director may promulgate rules to allow for overnight on-street parking of a moving trailer provided the overnight parking of a moving trailer does not impact public safety.
   (g)    Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
