(a) Every person, firm or corporation operating, establishing, or conducting any indoor shooting or archery range shall obtain an annual license for the operation of such business or enterprise. Applications for said license shall be accepted, processed and issued by the Office of the Administrator. A separate license is required for each place the applicant maintains an indoor shooting or archery range.
(b) The application for the annual license shall be submitted to the Office of the Administrator prior to December 10th of the year before the license year (e.g. December 10, 2013 for the 2014 license.
(c) With the application for the license required by Section 733.01
, the applicant shall pay an annual license fee of five dollars ($5.00).
(d) Upon acceptance of a complete application, the Administrator shall conduct a site visit and evaluate the site for compliance with this Chapter, Ohio Basic Building Code or any applicable Ohio statutes, administrative codes or regulations related to indoor shooting ranges and/or archery ranges. The Chief Building Official will document the findings and forward them to the Office of the Administrator.
(e) When an indoor shooting or archery range is sold, the new owner shall notify the Office of the Administrator within thirty (30) days of any change in ownership and provide the office with their name and contact information.
