The person who holds the office of Mayor shall have been a resident of Obetz for at least one year before the time he or she files for office; and, during his or her term of office. The Mayor shall not hold any other elected public office or position of employment with Obetz during a term, except he or she may hold office in a political party or be a delegate to a political party convention, serve as a notary public, serve as a member or officer in the military reserve or National Guard, serve in any office, position or capacity to represent Obetz or to further intergovernmental cooperation, and may hold any office or position of employment permitted by this Charter or the laws of Ohio.
