(a) Water Bill Discount Program.
(1) Eligibility. Households with an income at or below 130% of the current federal poverty guidelines (76 CFR 3637) are eligible for a 50% reduction of the monthly water bill. There are no discounts available on the monthly sewer bill.
(2) Application Required. Households must complete an application to be processed by the Utility Office. All applications must be approved by the Office of the Administrator. Approvals are valid for one year.
(b) Residential Refuse Discount Program.
(1) Eligibility. Households with individuals aged 65 years old or older are eligible for a 10% reduction of the monthly refuse bill.
(2) Application Required. Households must complete an application to be processed by the Utility Office. All applications must be approved by the Office of the Administrator. Approvals are valid for one year.
(c) The Office of the Administrator may create whatever applications and policies are necessary to administer the discount programs.
