1341.04 INSPECTIONS.
   (a)   Inspection of Parts to be Concealed; Notice.
      (1)   In any new building and in any new addition to an order building, immediately upon the completion of those portions of the installation which are thereafter to be concealed or covered up, in any heating, ventilating or air conditioning installation, the heating, ventilating, air conditioning or portable heating appliance contractor shall notify the Division of Building Regulation in the manner hereinafter provided for, that such portions of the installation are ready for inspection.
      (2)   No persons shall cover up or conceal any portion of work until inspected.
      (3)   The Building Inspector shall have attached to such piping, duct or equipment, a notice stating that the same has been approved.
      (4)   No unauthorized person shall remove any such notice or cause the same to be removed and no person having charge of the construction of such new building or addition or no person shall cover or conceal or cause to be so covered or concealed, any portions of heating, ventilating, air conditioning or portable heating appliance installation before the same has been approved by the Inspector.
   (b)   Request for Final Inspection. The heating, ventilating, air conditioning or portable heating appliance contractor shall immediately notify the Inspector, upon the completion of the installation, that work for which a permit has been issued as required by this chapter is ready for inspection, by registering the number of the permit and the location of the work in the inspection order register book kept for that purpose in the office of the Inspector.
   (c)   Final Inspection and Tests. After notifying the Obetz Building Department as provided herein, of request for final inspection, in each heating, ventilating and air conditioning system, the Inspector shall make such final inspection for the compliance with the requirements of the Building Code. Upon written complaint from the owner, the contractor shall make tests, under the supervision of the Inspector, as provided in subsection (d) thereof.
   (d)   Stop Work Order. Wherever any work or project governed by the provisions of this chapter and for which a permit has been issued is being performed in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or any other chapter of the Village governing such work, the Inspector shall post a printed notice to stop work signed by the Inspector, on the premises where such work is in progress and notify anyone in charge of the work on the premises of the stop order. After the posting of notice, no person, firm or corporation shall do any further work on the project until such time as the defects or violations of this Building Code have been eliminated to the approval of the Inspector and the stop work sign has been removed by him. No stop work order so posted shall affect work not governed by this chapter except where the progress of any such work would interfere with the inspection of work governed by this chapter.
