(a) All heating devices shall be installed with adequate clearances to combustible materials and be connected to properly build chimneys or flues as designated in the current edition of the Ohio Mechanical Code, which, pursuant to Ohio R. C. 731.231, is adopted by reference as if fully set out herein, for the purpose of regulating the installation and connection of all incinerators, ventilators, air conditioning, blower and exhaust systems, cooking devices and restaurant hoods to properly built chimneys or flues on all approved venting systems.
(b) Pursuant to Ohio R. C. 731.231, the American Standard Gas Safety Code, approved by the American Standards Association, and the Requirements for House Piping and Appliance Installation as adopted and amended from time to time by the American Gas Association are adopted by reference as if fully set out herein for the purpose of the installation of gas piping for lighting or heating purposes with these additions: All single dwellings, twin single dwellings and duplex dwellings which are supplied with gas service shall have provision made at the time of construction for the connection of gas ranges and dryers.
