(a) No sign or outdoor advertising structure shall be constructed until a sign permit has been issued by the Building Department certifying that the sign or structure conforms to the requirements of this chapter. The name, address and telephone number of the owner, advertising agency or person/company constructing the sign shall be required. This requirement does not supersede the requirement for zoning approval. A sign permit will not be issued until zoning clearance has been given for the sign.
(b) Fees shall be established by Council in the Building Permit Fee Schedule.
(c) When more than one sign is being installed at the same location, the total square footage of all signs shall be the computed area.
