The Suburban Residential (SR) District is intended for newly developing areas of Obetz where traditional suburban residential development is desired. In the Suburban Residential District, quality site design which integrates natural features and green spaces is encouraged. As the health, safety and welfare of residents in such neighborhoods is directly linked to the provision of essential services and facilities, connection to public sewer and water is required for each dwelling unit in the Suburban Residential (SR) District.
Land and buildings in the Suburban Residential District (SR) shall be used only for the following purposes:
(a) Single-family Residence. There shall be no more than one principal structure per lot.
(b) Public and Private Schools. Public or private schools offering general educational courses and having no rooms regularly used for housing or sleeping of students.
(c) Parks. Open spaces, playgrounds, and other related program elements and park features intended to provide for passive amenities to the immediate or surrounding neighborhoods, while limiting site impacts.
