(a) Sidewalks in SR, R-1, R-2, R-3, R-12, NC, SO, and CF areas. Concrete sidewalks shall be installed on both sides of all new streets in all subdivisions in this category.
(b) Sidewalks in GC, RI, and LI areas. New subdivisions in this category that are adjacent to residential areas are required to construct concrete sidewalks as outlined in subsection (a) above. Sidewalks in other subdivisions that do not border residential areas may have sidewalks on one or more sides of the streets as determined by the Planning and Zoning Commission for safety purposes. In those exception conditions where the Planning and Zoning Commission determines no sidewalks are required, they may be excluded.
(c) All sidewalks shall be extended to connect with existing walks or to the boundaries of the subdivision if walks are not accessible. Sidewalks shall be constructed according to the minimums set forth in the “Standard Construction Drawings” of the Municipality.
