1113.19 FORESTED AREAS.
Preservation of remaining forested areas is strongly encouraged, particularly along riparian corridors. Existing riparian trees should be maintained to a depth of 120 feet from the watercourse. Development impacts may be minimized with proper construction and urban forestry management practices. Care should be taken to avoid safety and maintenance liability for future owners. Tree planting is encouraged, combined with vegetative filter strips along perennial streams (as established by the USGS).
